Great if you like discovering new games, less ideal if you have a specific existing library you want to play.

Boosteroid is the budget option, and honestly a solid one. It also supports streaming games you own from Steam and Epic, similar to GeForce Now, but at a noticeably lower monthly cost. Performance can vary more depending on your region and server proximity, but for the price, I was impressed the first time I tried it.

PlayStation Plus Premium is really only relevant if you're already in the PlayStation ecosystem and want to stream older PlayStation titles, including some PS3-era games you can't easily play otherwise.

Amazon Luna is worth a quick heads-up on. It used to let you buy individual games directly, but earlier this year Amazon shut down that storefront entirely. If you're a Prime member, there's still a free tier with a rotating game selection, but I wouldn't purchase anything through it or count on it long-term. That shutdown is a good real-world example of the one actual risk with cloud gaming platforms — you're depending on a company staying committed to the service.

If you want to try this yourself, here's basically the exact process I walked him through.
